Here at Mama Marzipan we strive to produce slings that are lightweight, fashionable, and
easy to use. Our unpadded ring slings can be used by people of all different shapes and
sizes and thus you won't need multiple slings for one baby. Of course, with our variety of
bright colors and trims, you may find yourself stocking up anyway!
The company is run by the mother-daughter team of Cheryl and Marci Phillips. When Marci
and her husband celebrated the birth of their first child, Sophia, they were disappointed by
many of the sling offerings on the market. Many were too bulky with padding that made it
difficult for the sling to cup the shoulder while others didn't easily fit both Marci and her
husband. Some had complicated pockets that made them awkward to adjust. Frequently
these pockets were sewn to the tail which prevented the tail from helping to cover a nursing
baby. Other slings were covered with patterns that were cute, but hardly suitable for anyone
looking for something with a bit of style. Marci and Cheryl came up with a lightweight,
fashionable product that can be worn by anyone, is machine washable, and fits easily into
a purse, diaper bag, or even a coat pocket.
