| Facing-In Hold |

| The Facing-In Hold is great for babies who have just started holding up their heads but are still a bit wobbly. It's also good for nursing, though trickier than the Cradle Hold because you have to wear the baby rather low. To begin, put your sling on and hold the baby in one arm facing you. Then slide the baby between you and the fabric, making sure to tuck the bottom of the sling under and around the baby's bottom to create a safe pouch. As with all holds, you never just want the baby strapped to you with fabric. They should always be cupped or cradled by the fabric to some degree. Then use one arm to support the baby while you use the other arm to tighten the sling. |
